Houston Water Wall
Our weekends are full of activities designed to get us and the kids out of the house. Actually, they don't spend a lot of time at home during the week either due to their various activities. I have learned over the years that it's never a good idea to sit at home with them for more than two hours at a time. While a movie marathon at home on a rainy day sounds like a wonderful idea at 9 in the morning, by noon I am pulling my hair out and have two cooped up whiny kids on my hands.
Luckily in Houston we are blessed with great weather and no shortage of places to explore. About a month ago we ventured out to one of these places that we had been hearing about, but had never actually been to; the Houston Water Wall (click here to learn more about it).
We had a great time walking around the actual Water Wall and the greens surrounding it. Up close it's actually very disorienting as the water is coming down pretty quickly, it definitely gives you a sense of loss of perspective. There was a wedding taking photos while we were there, and plenty of other people like us doing the same, although it was surprisingly uncrowded - definitely rare for a Houston area attraction... If you are local I definitely recommend making a trip to the Galleria and the Water Wall, and if you find yourself in town, this should be a quick stop on your attraction list!
Later on that day we fed the ducks in the park at Cinco. It was a typically wonderful Saturday.
