Land of the Free...
I LOVE the 4th of July! I love the patriotic spirit, the food, the weather, the fireworks, the parades, the time off of work/school - All of it! Even with bad weather, 4th of July never seems to disappoint for me. This year was no exception.
It seemed like a lot of people were out of town over the holiday this year, but we still had some friends that decided to stay in Katy like us. We happily invited them all over to celebrate with a pool party and some BBQ pork from Jordan's smoker.
It was a fun time, with great weather this year.
Thanks to my parents for the Margartaville machine. It has been a BIG hit by the pool this Summer. I've perfected a key lime colada recipe that's so good!
After the pool, we all got cleaned up, and Holden went to bed after a long day of swimming and sliding.
We headed out to our front porch, and the neighbors driveways to enjoy some fireworks, that I have to say are pretty impressive for amateur neighborhood light shows.
I am overjoyed that my pretty little girl is not only open to the idea of pictures, but she will actually take some direction, and will look at the camera. This. Is. Huge.
I hope you all had a happy and safe 4th of July weekend!
