Disney 2017
The last time we went to Disney was January 2016 for Holden's birthday, so we decided it was about time to plan another trip, and this time celebrate our little Disney princesses special day in the happiest place on earth.
Isla, like many kids is super into youtube videos. Specifically, Isla likes to watch videos on Disney - secrets of Disney, history of Disney, etc... This is how we found out that Isla shares a birthday with none other than Minnie and Mickey Mouse. Of course Isla was ecstatic and we were excited to be going during such a special time.
We planned the trip to fall on her actual birthday which worked out perfectly. We always do a four night thing and her birthday was on the weekend this year, specifically the weekend before Thanksgiving. This is a notoriously slow time at Disney world, and the weather is usually great. Luckily, both these ideas proved to be true - crowds seemed much less than usual and the weather couldn't have been more perfect.
I'm not going to go into a ton of detail as I have in my previous posts.

... At this point we like to think of ourselves as Disney pros. We have the trips down to a science, and it's way less stressful than in years past. The way Disney handles disability services certainly helps with that. Take my advice; if you plan to travel to Disney with a special needs guest make SURE to visit guest services as soon as you arrive. They will bend over backwards to make sure all your needs are taken care of and everyone has the best time.
So without further ado: Disney World 2017 in Photos
We were so worried about the flight. It's been quite a while since Holden's been on a plane (Summer 2016) and that trip didn't go so well - hence the big gap. But he's come SO far, and so have we in terms of being prepared. It was an amazing flight all around, and we arrived at Disney bright and early in the morning with NO issues-HOORAY!!!!
We may be pros, but believe it or not this was our first time ever visiting the Animal Kingdom (my new favorite park). Everest was our first rollercoaster (first and last go for Isla and I)...
Avatar is absolutely AMAZING. What would have been a three hour wait was turned into an easy 10 minutes thanks to disability services. We weren't sure Holden would be able to ride this one because of the way they strap you in, but we were pleasantly surprised and so happy that the whole family was able to enjoy this one.
It was really neat being there for all the Christmas celebrations. Even though it was before Thanksgiving, which I definitely usually frown upon, I couldn't help getting into the Christmas spirit along with everyone else.
I really think this was our best trip yet, but as always we're already looking forward to the next one!
