New Years Eve Dinner Party
This year we decided to do something a little different for NYE. It’s a tradition that I hope sticks because we had the best time.
We hosted our first NYE dinner party and by all accounts I would say it was a pretty big success. Feeding 14 is always going to come with its challenges, but we were pretty prepared and except for one of the key ingredients getting thrown out minutes before it was supposed to go into the instant pot everything went pretty smoothly. Luckily we had extra ingredients for the cooking marinade and were able to whip up another batch rather quickly.
First course was a charcuterie board and crab cakes under Meyer lemon dressed greens, followed by terriyaki pork loin over whipped herb potatoes and parmesan asparagus, and finally finished the meal with a homemade tiramisu.
We played some games, lit some fireworks and toasted a wonderful year with the hopes of the new one to come.
I couldn’t have asked for a better night with my family and friends. Now, whose turn is it next year?
