September Lake Trip
We’re always trying to try new spots in our adopted city of Austin, and Fareground ATX is one that’s been on my list for a while.
It’s basically a cluster of restaurants and bars in the middle of downtown, and they always seem to be having something going on; from outdoor yoga to a concert under the stars Fareground has a lot to offer. Not to mention some amazing restaurants.
On this trip I tried TLV (everyone else had a hankering for pizza which we would be on the search for later). I ordered the HUMMUS M’SABAHA which was basically a bowl of Marinated Chickpeas, Tahini, Green Chili Sauce, Parsley and Spices. It all came together amazingly and was SO delicious. So much so that I didn’t even have time to take a pic before demolishing it all!
I did get a picture of Holden’s Jerusalem bagel which is a variation on a classic everything bagel.
it was all really good, and we’ll definitely be back to try more. My mouth is watering just looking at these pictures. After we ate the kids played outside for a little bit before we headed out for a walk around Austin.
We found a good looking pizza spot, but unfortunately they were still doing a brunch and the wait would have been pretty long. The kids really wanted some Whole Foods slices anyways so we headed over there before driving back home.
After a little break we went down to the lake and played on the jet skis and the kayak dock until it was time for dinner.
It was a super low-key weekend, and one of my favorite ways to spend time up at the lake.
