Labor Day Weekend at the Lake

Labor Day weekend is always a fun time on Lake Travis. Although we still have months of viable lake days left, it really does feel like the closing of the season and we usually make a point of spending most of our weekend up there celebrating.

This year we brought our good friends the Schmeers up with us. After watching the VOLS lose, yes, you heard me - LOSE their opening game to Georgia State, we spent the rest of the weekend with our friends and family enjoying sunny days on the lake and ending the evenings with cards or a movie.

Holden was ADAMANT that he wanted to bowl, and he actually had a good time even if it only lasted for ten minutes of the hour that we had paid for…

Isla spent most of her time running around with the Schmeer boys and trying her hand at virtual reality.

After the game we headed back to the house for some pizza and beer to drown our football sorrows in.

The next morning we headed out early for a boat ride before having lunch lakeside at Gnarly Gar.

After some pool time we headed down to chill on the kayak dock only to be met by a downpour that came out of nowhere. The kids ended up having a great time jumping around in the rain until it just got too cold, and it was time to go home!
