A Very Festive Hill Country Weekend

We spent the first full weekend of December hitting up spots that we had driven by previously but hadn’t checked out, and starting all the Christmas things like “Elf” with a fire and smore’s, ice skating under the lights, and petting some llamas?!?

Shady Llama

If you find yourself in the charming Hill Country town of Wimberly, Texas, The Shady Llama is a must stop. With an awesome outdoor space filled with llamas and goats, a kids playground, a taco truck and great beers on tap there was something for everyone.

Next, we stopped at a winery set in a little house. Holden LOVED their tree swing while Isla hung out inside and tried to warm up. From there our plan was to head to Marble Falls to do some Christmas Market shopping before ice skating. On the way we ran into a driving range we just had to try out.

For her first time swinging a golf club Isla was surprisingly very good. She would make her Papa proud.

We ended the day ice skating - a favorite activity of all ours. Holden loves it, but doesn’t quite have the hang of it just yet. He spent most of his time giggling and hanging onto his Dad. Isla on the other hand, glided around the rink with ease.

It was a awesome weekend spent with our favorite people getting properly into the holiday season.
