1st Born Cookie Cutter Child She is NOT

Our little girl has her own unique personality...  And it seems like it's forever changing.  It molds itself based on the current environment or situation.  Or what she has learned at school, from watching a TV show/movie, or a particular trip she has just embarked on.  For me, it's so exciting, hilarious and intriguing to view my families experiences from my baby girls point of view.  Currently, Isla is obsessed with the guitar.  Truthfully, she is really interested in anything musically related, but the guitar holds a special place in her heart.  I think that this comes from two of her favorite things - her Daddy and her favorite character from Strawberry Shortcake: Cherry Jam (who plays the guitar - she is basically like a Miley Cyrus personality).

The one thing that Isla asked Santa Claus for this Christmas was a guitar, and since Isla had been such a good girl, Santa came through.  Since Christmas, this guitar makes an appearance at least once a day and has been our families soundtrack over the past couple of weeks.

I can't wait to see if this love for music continues, or if she takes a totally different path.  Either way, Isla has made it clear that we are all just along for the ride - and I'm sure it will be a fun and exciting trip.
