New Years Eve 2012
After a busy Christmas season Jordan and I decided that a New Years Eve at home would be the perfect night. New Years Eve is an especially important holiday for us because 8 years ago Jordan got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife.
Fast forward to 2012, and the thought of a up-charged NYE babysitter, battling reservations/party lines, and booking a car service for the night did not sound like something that we wanted to take on. Instead, we put the kids down and had a late night (well, 8 o'clock is a late dinner for us) totally adult dinner. This means that there was no Disney Junior on in the background, no threats about what would happen if that last chicken nugget wasn't eaten and conversation that wasn't all about answering the same question twenty times. It was wonderful!
After dinner we went up to the media room to watch a movie and the ball drop. We decided to be adventurous and went downstairs to hang out some more. Guess we were just too adventurous. Jordan fell asleep on the couch. It was a perfect New Years Eve, and I'm looking forward to an exciting 2013.
The photo in the above right picture was from the night we got engaged.
