The Scottish Highlands
The last stop on our British tour was a day trip through the Highlands. We were super excited about this tour, but a little unsure on what to expect.
While we would have preferred a more casual tour with a flexible itinerary, with the time constraints and activities we already had planned, this type of tour was our best option. It turns out, that the rigid driver, and eclectic group of passengers would provide us hours of entertainment, in addition to the beautiful scenery.
While extremely knowledgable, engaging, and well spoken, our tour guide took his job a little too seriously. After threatening to leave, (multiple times), if we were even a couple minutes late coming back to the bus, we ended up waiting twenty minutes for a young group of girls to make their way back from Loch Ness. Even though he publicly berated these girls the rest of the trip back, it seems as though our tour guides bark was bigger than his bite.
The tour was a great way to see a large portion of the Highlands in a limited amount of time, and we were so glad we booked this prior to heading over the pond.
I highly recommend the Highlands as a part of anyones UK experience.
We started the tour in Loch Lomond, the same Loch we stayed on at Cameron House.

We ended the night, and our trip back in Glasgow at Jamie Olivers Italian.
It was a delicious end to a wonderful trip. While we were so sad to leave we know we will be back! Special thanks to the Lennon family for sharing their beautiful countries with us!
